The Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible and accountable for maximizing and managing business activity in the territory in line with the Sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
Growing travel agency revenue in line with company goals
Identifying sales opportunities and assisting to convert in both trade and direct markets
Prospecting for Special groups opportunities, within both the direct and trade channels
Identifying and building relationships with clubs, groups, membership databases that have a need for the supply of travel product
Utilizing the prescribed company systems and processes to effectively manage your region
Use your knowledge of the industry to identify risks, opportunities and strategic issues and highlight for management.
Build and maintain rapport with travel agencies and consultants via regular personal visits and telephone calls
You will need
Minimum 2 year’s experience in a sales environment in Travel or Tourism you may also be a travel agent looking for that next step
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and superior interpersonal skills, and confidence in the ability to liaise with a broad range of customer management.
Proven knowledge and success in sales
On offer is a salary of $85k plus super plus quarterly incentive and allowances
